County fair holds baby show; Crain named Grand Champion

The Monroe County Fair had its annual baby show this Monday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. and held at the Monroe Manor. The baby show took place only a few days following the Mark Twain Old Threshers baby show on July 7, with many of the same children in attendance.

Regina Hall, activities aide at the Monroe Manor, emceed the event. There were four judges in total – Rita Vickers of Shelbina; Sharon Edwards, Betsy Embree and Britany Williams, all of Paris.

Monroe Manor’s rehab care provided the event’s trophies, and the $2.00 door fee each spectator was asked to pay was donated to the Monroe County Cancer Supporters.
