Thursday’s (June 29) rain didn’t stop the rodeo festivities from taking place. The Mark Twain Lake Royalty Contest was held early that afternoon with young ladies from ages 8 to 22 participating in three categories: Queen (16-22), Jr. (12-15), and Little Darlin’ (8-11). Winners were announced at 7:30 p.m. later that evening. The results stated:
Little Darlin’ Winner: Raylee Griffith of Madison, MO
First Runner-up: Maci Easley of Elmer, MO
Second Runner-up: Macey Baker of Paris, MO
Jr. Winner: Trista Trivette of Holliday, MO
First Runner-up: Kelsie Wilson of Holliday, MO
Queen Winner: Jessica Barnes of Eolia, MO
First Runner-up: Ashley Gentry of Clarksville, MO
Second Runner-up: Alexa Daly of St. Peters, MO
Barnes also won top ticket sales and Miss Congeniality. The photogenic award, which was voted on both by the crowd and contestants, was awarded to Jacie Jost of Owensville, MO.
