Betsy Embree from Paris High School, Austin Thomas from Madison High School and Kendall Mason from Paris Junior High are launching the 6th Annual “Pink Out Basketball” campaign to raise awareness of cancer and to raise money to assist local cancer patients with medical expenses. Madison High School will host the high school basketball game versus Paris on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
The proceeds from the shirt sales will go to the Monroe County Cancer Supporters and in turn, directly to Monroe County families dealing with the financial burden resulting from a cancer diagnosis.
If you have any questions please contact Betsy’s mom, Shari at (660) 216-5589 or Austin’s mom, Marti at (573) 470- 6721, Mary DeOrnellis at (573) 473-6938 or Kendall’s mom, Tammy at (573) 473-2461.
We have raised over $24,000.00 over the last five years. We sold 697 shirts last year. We are hoping to sell more shirts this year and exceed our previous goals! Thank you to everyone that supported us in the past and continues to support this great cause.
Again this year we will be doing something a little different. You can pre-order your shirts and pay when you pick them up. We will start delivering shirts as soon as they are done. We will keep everyone informed of specific pick up times. All shirts will need to be paid for UPON pick up. You can still go ahead and pay if you wish but we wanted to give you this option due to the Christmas holiday coming prior to the Pink Out game.
We will also be doing our silent auction and raffle items the night of the game. Last year we had some great stuff due to donations from many great individuals. If you wish to donate anything for the silent auction or raffle, just contact Tammy, Mary, Marti or Shari.
